You will explore two must-see, world-famous attractions in China: the Badaling Great Wall and the Ming Tombs. The Great Wall is a symbol of China and one the Eight Wonders of the World, and Badaling is its best-preserved and most-popular section. The Ming Tombs are the best-preserved Ming emperor burial sites in China, with over 500 years of history.
This section of wall is the first section opened to tourists (in 1957) after reconstructed. Badaling Great Wall Shows the Great Wall as it would have looked originally, and it does not look too new. That is another reason of why most travelers choose Badaling Great Wall.
There is a Great Wall Museum and Great Wall National Theatre close to Badaling Great Wall. The theatre offers you a chance to get a full view of the Great Wall of China.

Pick-up travelers from hotel on departure time between 7:30am and 8:00am, and then drive to Ming Tombs (50 miles away from downtown about one hour driving). The thirteen Ming Tombs are the best-preserved Chinese imperial tombs with 500 years history. You will visit Chang ling, the head and the largest tomb of Ming Tombs, where Emperor Yongle (the first emperor in Beijing) and his Empress Xu were buried. The sightseeing on the Ming Tombs takes about 1 hour. The visit to Ming Tombs finishes at about 10:45am. Before having lunch (11:30am), you will have 45 minutes for a short visit of Jade Carving Factory. The jade carving is a famous special Chinese product, a blend of the excellent skill on carving and Chinese traditional cultures.
Having traditional Chinese lunch at restaurant. After lunch, driving to the Badaling Great Wall. The hike on Badaling Great Wall takes 2 hours. Badaling section is the most famous and best-preserved wall. It’s highest point at Badaling is some 800 meters above sea level. Cable car is available and optional. On the way back to hotels, you will have a chance to enjoy Chinese Traditional Tea Ceremony, where you also experience Chinese Calligraphy free. Chinese Calligraphy has thousand years of history and it was regarded as a kind of cultural & visual art. After the tour, transferred back to your hotel.

Ming Tombs of Changling

The Changling Tomb Fifty kilometers (31 miles) away from Beijing lies Changling Tomb, the tomb of the third emperor of the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Di and Empress Xu. Among the 16 emperors of the Ming Dynasty, Emperor Zhu Di (1360-1424), also honored as Emperor Yongle, made the greatest contribution to the country and had the most far-reaching impact on history. During his time, the Ming Dynasty reached its peak. In 1409, Emperor Zhu Di built Changling Tomb. He was the first emperor of the Ming Dynasty to build a tomb. After that another 12 tombs were built. Changling Tomb is the largest and the most completely preserved of these tombs. Because of its grand ancient architecture, brilliant culture and long history, the site is one of the most significant attractions in Beijing.
